The airline had an aircraft, flying to Greenland, but could not make it into Illussat Airport because of the very specific landing requirements.
They decided to drop off the passengers at Kangerlussuaq and called their “911” partners: we had 3 hours to find a solution to get an aircraft that was capable of flying from Kangerlussuaq to Illussat
Thomas and his team started calling the airlines in the region. At the eve of a long Eastern weekend made it a bigger challenge to get a solution.
But in great style, he found an Air Greenland Dash 8, and before the jet landed in Kangerlussuaq , our Dash was ready to do a board to board service, so that the passengers didn’t touch ground any minute longer than necessary. Mission accomplished !
